Work directly with area universities and colleges to educate students entering the meetings industry about MPIGNY and the benefits of joinng the chapter.

Recruit, plan, coordinate and implement projects for the student members to participate in. (NYMix, Annual Fundraiser, Golf Outing, etc.)

We have worked successfully with professors at area universities to engage students by doing in-person presentations for their classes to introduce students to MPIGNY and the inherent benefits of being a Student Member.

We will continue nurturing our relationships with both the professors and the students in an effort to keep progressing within our chapter to help shape the future of our next generation of meeting professionals.

Trade Shows: 2-3 times during the year we are invited by schools to have a table at a career fair (1/2 day two or three times per year)

University Presentations: Visit students in the classroom to make a 5-10 minute presentation.
(2 hours 3-4 times per year)

Project Development: Work with VP's, Directors and/or Chairs to engage students to volunteer at various larger chapter programs throughout the year (10 hours per project plus being onsite to lead the students during the programs)
