Produces monthly announcements publicizing MPIGNY chapter programs and events. Internal Marketing is also responsible for brand compliance of chapter logos on all printed material.

If you possess marketing and p.r. skill already, then we can sure use your talent! (And if you want to learn how to be good at marketing, then we want your enthusiasm to learn!)
This committee acts as the "voice" for the chapter and assists the departments, leaders and chairs to market and "sell" all the chapter programs throughout the year.
|
Time commitment varies based on how much you are assisting with a specific program. May be a few hours a week. If you have time constraints, we'll situate you in an area that doesn't require lots of time but will impact the progress of the chapter.

Responsible for managing the chapter’s membership recruitment and retention programs. This committee creates and oversees programs that are designed to motivate and reward members for their involvement in the chapter and industry. In addition, they also match suppliers who wish to join the chapter with available planners and are responsible for the upkeep and execution of the MPIGNY Buddy Program which matches new members with "seasoned" chapter members to help acquaint them with the chapter.

Work directly with area universities and colleges to educate students entering the meetings industry about MPIGNY and the benefits of joinng the chapter.
Recruit, plan, coordinate and implement projects for the student members to participate in. (NYMix, Annual Fundraiser, Golf Outing, etc.)

We have worked successfully with professors at area universities to engage students by doing in-person presentations for their classes to introduce students to MPIGNY and the inherent benefits of being a Student Member.
We will continue nurturing our relationships with both the professors and the students in an effort to keep progressing within our chapter to help shape the future of our next generation of meeting professionals.
|
Trade Shows: 2-3 times during the year we are invited by schools to have a table at a career fair (1/2 day two or three times per year)
University Presentations: Visit students in the classroom to make a 5-10 minute presentation. (2 hours 3-4 times per year)
Project Development: Work with VP's, Directors and/or Chairs to engage students to volunteer at various larger chapter programs throughout the year (10 hours per project plus being onsite to lead the students during the programs)
