Past Event Recap - Educational ProgramHosted October 24, 2011 Industry Ethics: An Interactive Guide to the Gray Area
On October 24, MPIGNY’s Education Event was presented in partnership with the Pierre Hotel and tackled the thorny and interesting questions of ethics in the 21st-century meetings industry.
The session featured Former “Ethicist” Columnist, New York Times Magazine, Randy Cohen, who will shared, with his trademark wit and wisdom, the basis of ethical thinking and how to apply its principles to business situations.
Following our keynote, participants were lead into an interactive program which dove into hot-button ethical issues for today’s meetings industry, including social media, maintaining transparency in a connected world, intellectual property, abuse of privilege. Industry veterans Lesly Rehaut, CMP, CMM, Holly Duckworth, CAE, CMP, and Sharon L. Schenk, CMP will lead the panel discussion.
MPIGNY would like to thank all those who participated.
